HyeKyung Lee’s Rustle at Adams Low Flutes Festival

Enjoy flute ensemble Q-flutes (NL), a special piece played by Ned McGowan (contrabass flute and piano), and Let’s improvise by workshop participants with soloist Matthias Ziegler.

Q-Flutes is a flute ensemble consisting of advanced students from Quintus in Kampen and is under the expert direction of Karen Snoei.

Ned McGowan is a composer, flutist, improviser, and researcher renowned for his rhythmic vitality and technical virtuosity. His music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw, and at festivals around the world by leading orchestras, ensembles, and soloists. During this lunch concert, he will play the work *Rustle* for contrabass flute and piano, written by the Korean/American composer HyeKyung Lee. She will perform the piano part herself.

Participants in the two *Let’s Improvise* workshops will present the results under the direction of Sophie Dufeutrelle, featuring Matthias Ziegler as soloist.
