Sumanth Manjunath, violinist, son of Dr. Mysore Manjunath
Beginning his concert career at just eight, he quickly established himself as a prodigious talent, captivating audiences with his technical brilliance, classical depth, and emotive expression. Sumanth has performed extensively across India and over 25 countries, enthralling audiences at prestigious venues such as Oxford and Cambridge Universities (UK), La Madeleine (France), Caldas da Rainha (Portugal), Dominicus Church (Amsterdam), Persian Academy of Music (Iran), and the Indian Cultural Embassies in Dubai and Paris.
R. Raghuram, Vocalist, son of Late Vid. R. A. Rajagopalan
He started vocal performances at the age of 16 and has performed at various prestigious Sabhas. He has received “Pratibhakankshi Award” from the Rama Seva Mandali. His metier has been his passionate adherence to Manodharma Sangeetha. He specialises in Vocal Improvisations and Complex Rhythmic Patterns. A regular performer at All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan.
Anoor Vinod Shyam, Mridangam Artist, son of Vidwan Anoor R. Ananthakrishna Sharma
With over 18 years of concert experience across India and abroad, he is acclaimed for his mastery over the Mridangam and his command of a wide range of percussion instruments including Tabla, Khanjari, Dholak, Dholki, Pakhawaj, and Chende. His accolades include:
• All India Radio National Award Winner (2012)
• ’A’ Grade Artist, AIR (2021)
• Best Mridangam Artist (2015) – Karnataka Fine Arts Council
• Naada Yuva Puraskara (2021) – NaadaMaya Trust, Bengaluru
Ned McGowan, flutist
Known for rhythmical vitality and technical virtuosity, his music has won awards and been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw and other halls and festivals around the world by many orchestras, ensembles and soloists. Ned teaches composition, Advanced Rhythm and Pulse, and is Head of Artistic Research at the Utrecht Conservatory. His very supportive father, Joseph McGowan, was a widely respected business developer for a construction company. 🙂
